Christopher has performed with artists such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Prince, Cirque du Soleil, Paula Abdul and Debbie Gibson. He also has been in numerous tv shows, movies and commercials . It was during his time working with these legends that he began his work out journey. He had to look and feel his best for these LA based jobs, and working out was not only fun, but he quickly became obsessed with being in ‘the zone’ while listening to his favorite tunes on his Walkman! (Remember those?)
His love and passion for fitness has stayed strong within him for decades and he is thrilled to teach at and co own Highway 1 fitness in beautiful Half Moon Bay! Being able to change peoples’ lives and get them feeling and looking their best through physical exercise is what feeds his soul. He is thrilled to offer his Jam Fusion class, twice weekly and he also now teaches private lessons for a 1 on 1 dance experience that is truly amazing!

David has always believed that taking care of oneself is not selfish, it's actually self care! We can't show up for each other unless we show up for ourselves first. David is a small business owner and has taught yoga for over 15 years. He is passionate about physical and mental health and finding the balance between work / home and life . Highway 1 Fitness helps to bring all of that together, a place where everyone will feel welcomed and will find the right class and community to support their fitness goals.

Born and raised in San Jose, Staci grew up studying jazz, tap, and ballet at Marie Stinnett Studio in Campbell, California, and eventually became an instructor for Marie, teaching adults beginning and intermediate jazz dance classes. She has been in many shows for Great America, San Jose Civic Light Opera and SJCMT. After finishing school, she moved to San Francisco working as a corporate dining chef/ manager for Esprit De Corp, Gymboree and SAGE Dining. While in San Francisco, she continued her dance studies with Anne Garvin, Anne Barrett and Greg Silva.
Retired from corporate dining, Staci works for Highway 1 Fitness managing the studio and teaching Beginning/Intermediate Adult Jazz Dance classes. Staci is excited to meet you and help you start your new journey with this fantastic team of instructors and trainers here at the Studio.

Mishelle has been an instructor since her first job in high school. Through the last 30 years fitness has been one of her greatest accomplishments. As a fitness instructor teaching Aerobics certified by Reebok, she had her first taste of helping other better their mind, body & soul. Mishelle ran x-country for the University of Washington, so her desire to stay fit and help others be the best they can mentally and physically came naturally. Bodystep, Bootcamp, Spin, Cycle Core, Kick Boxing, Athletic Conditioning and her favorite-Interval Training to the Navy Seals/Aviators at three different Naval Air Stations. She holds many certificates IDEA, NIKE Elite training, Schwinn Cycling, REEBOK, ACE certified personal trainer/instructor to name a few.
Mishelle has donated her time to teaching young boys & girls at certain clubs or community’s which is one of her greatest joys.

Wendy Jensen is a personal trainer and Level 1 CrossFit instructor with certificates in advanced weight training and yoga. Her fitness journey began with ballet in childhood and continued with yoga after high school.
After completing her BA in broadcast journalism at Brigham Young University, Wendy became a mother to two children. With young kids making gym visits difficult, she stayed active through Beach Body home workouts. Once her children grew older, she discovered CrossFit and trained under CrossFit Games athlete Chyna Cho for three years before earning her Level 1 certification.
While Wendy loved coaching CrossFit, the pandemic led her to focus on personal training, where she has found deep satisfaction. Her diverse fitness background allows her to cater to clients' different needs, as she believes fitness isn't one size fits all.
Wendy is a firm believer that everyone can exercise, regardless of physical limitations. She emphasizes that consistency, modification, and adaptation are the keys to success.
Her greatest satisfaction comes from helping clients reach goals that leave them feeling happy, confident, and strong.

Andrea Shepard's passion for movement and fitness spans from ballet in her early years through gymnastics, track and field, and synchronized swimming in high school. As a retired K-12 physical education, adapted physical education, and health science teacher, she brings extensive knowledge to her classes.
With Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sports Sciences, including coursework in sports medicine and pre-physical therapy, Andrea discovered group fitness in 1978 at her first aerobics class in Half Moon Bay. She became a certified instructor by 1982 and has never looked back.
Her current certifications include American Council on Exercise (ACE) Group Fitness Instructor, Back Care Specialist, ACE Senior Fitness Specialty Certification, and Mat Pilates with June Kahn. Andrea's inclusive approach ensures modifications are provided so everyone can participate safely and successfully.
Her three primary goals for class participants are safety, effectiveness, and fun. Andrea takes pride in being part of her members' healthy lifestyles, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels supported in their fitness journey.

Summer is a true embodiment of passion and expertise in the fitness realm. Having embarked on
her fitness journey at the young age of 19, Summer transitioned from her illustrious career as an
acrobat with Cirque du Soleil, where she honed her discipline and artistry, to become a dedicated
educator and coach in 2013.
In addition, as a Registered Dietitian, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. Her credentials are impressive, including certifications as a Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and a variety of group fitness certifications such as TRX, Boxing, Spin, and Aerial Yoga.
Additionally, her specializations as a Women’s Health Specialist, Youth Fitness Specialist, and
Weight Loss Management Specialist further underscore her commitment to holistic health. Summer
has enriched the Bay Area fitness community through her dynamic classes at various gyms and
studios, and she has seamlessly transitioned into corporate fitness. Now, as the proud owner of her
own personal training and nutrition business on the coast, she remains steadfast in her mission to
empower individuals to achieve their health and fitness aspirations. We invite you to join Summer for

Jasmine is originally from Long Beach,CA and now lives on the coast side with her husband and beloved cat Xena. She has been a Yoga and Fitness instructor since 2011, teaching at studios, gyms, and festivals throughout California.
Jasmine is a nature lover, graphic designer, writer, and enjoys making and performing music in her free time. She loves to combine both her love of music, movement, and connection in all her classes.

Katie began practicing yoga over a decade ago, and instantly recognized the countless healing benefits yoga has to offer. Katie completed her 200-hour certification through Coastside Yoga.
Katie's experience as a dancer and certified fitness instructor, combined with a passion for expression, shine through her teaching.
Katie is extremely excited to have joined the FIT lineup!

Charity Joy Secord is a lifelong fitness enthusiast. She’s a NASM certified personal trainer and a holistic wellness coach. Balancing physical, mental and emotional health is a key to her success personally and with her clients.
Charity uses a balance of circuit and interval training, strength conditioning, with a focus on functional movement, balance, flexibility and mobility. Specialty areas include breast cancer recovery, senior fitness, and endurance training. She shares a healthy dose of nutrition tips, mindset and emotional wellness tools to help clients break out of old stuck patterns and create new healthy habits. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and levels with a desire to uplevel their fitness and health.
Charity has given back to her coastal community over the years providing outdoor group workouts along our beautiful coast.

Michelle Martone has been studying and practicing Yoga since she was 16 years old. She received a Doctorate in Pharmacology in 2009, and completed her first Yoga Teacher Training in 2014.
Michelle studies in the Sivananda lineage. In addition to daily study, she travels to India to sit with her teachers, study meditation Yogic and Vedic Texts. The philosophy and teachings from these texts are woven into her yoga classes. In addition to teaching yoga, she studies traditional Indian and Pakistani music, Kirtan, and Vedic chanting.
Michelle teaches alignment based Vinyasa, Hatha, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and is also a Pharmacist and Health & Wellness coach. She is passionate about Yoga, healthy lifestyle including work/life balance, simple food, stress management through physical exercise, and gratitude and mindfulness practices.
In her free time Michelle enjoys time in nature with her husband, stewarding the land on their small homestead, growing food, and living a simple, minimalist lifestyle.

After years of practicing Yoga and Barre across the world, Sabine completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Brett Larkin in 2022, followed by her Yoga Barre certification at Swell Yoga. She has also studied wellness and meditation with Deepak Chopra and his Ayurveda Center. A former dancer and soccer player, Sabine brings movement, strength, balance and mindfulness together in her classes.
Born in France and raised between Paris and Chicago, Sabine is a dual citizen who now calls El Granada home. Off the mat, she works in the AdTech & Marketing industry and loves to travel, hiking, see live theatre and music.

Abby Guzman Murphy has been a passionate spin instructor since 2014. She has brought her energetic and motivating spin classes to various locations, including 24 Hour Fitness in San Francisco, San Mateo, Pacifica, and across the Bay Area, as well as The Jewish Community Center in Palo Alto. Her commitment to fitness and wellness is evident in her dynamic teaching style, which inspires and empowers her students to achieve their personal fitness goals.
During the day, Abby is a seasoned HR professional with over 25 years of experience in the field, currently serving as the Head of Human Resources for a leading biotech company in Menlo Park. Combining her expertise in HR with her enthusiasm for fitness, Abby exemplifies a balanced approach to professional and personal well-being, making a positive impact in both the corporate and fitness communities.

Jenny’s yoga journey began with the discipline and focus of Bikram before she discovered the creative flow of vinyasa—a practice that continues to inspire her today. She has completed two 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, holds a Yoga Barre certification, is experienced in teaching yoga and creative arts to incarcerated youth, and shares the healing vibrations of crystal bowl sound baths.
A Bay Area native, Jenny brings warmth, energy, and playfulness to her classes, creating an inviting space where all students feel welcome—no matter their background or experience. She teaches with intention, weaving in grounding practices, mindful breath, and creative movement that encourage students to connect deeply with themselves. Jenny believes yoga should feel liberating, supportive, and fun! She fosters an inclusive environment that celebrates each person’s unique journey.
Off the mat, you’ll find her outdoors—hiking, cycling, or soaking in the beauty of California’s landscapes

Kylie's movement journey began in her adolescence with ballet, where she discovered her passion for physical expression. An unexpected spine injury forced her to rethink her approach to movement which eventually led her to explore new ways to stay active. It was through this process that she fell in love with cycling and strength training—two pursuits that have continued to fuel her fitness journey into adulthood.
Her quest for knowledge led her to complete a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science, followed by her NASM Personal Training certification. Kylie has set out to make fitness more accessible and enjoyable for others and finds purpose in helping others discover the joy of exercise through a variety of methods.
She leads Tabata-inspired HIIT classes, high-energy Bootcamps, and one-on-one personal training. Her own experience with overcoming obstacles has made her an adaptable coach dedicated to helping each client achieve their fitness goals at their own pace. Kylie is committed to empowering others, showing that exercise can be a source of strength, confidence, and a lifelong love for movement. Her belief is simple: everyone, regardless of body type or physical limitations, can use exercise as a tool to improve their overall well-being.

Olga has been passionate about pole dancing for more than 10 years. She loves to share her art and knowledge through classes, performances, and workshops.
In her teaching, Olga combines meticulous methodology focused on fundamentals and safe trick execution with sensual movement opening full embodiment potential. She's also a big fan of intense expressive choreography and might just make you learn a few new things about yourself.

Tara Elliott began practicing yoga over 20 years ago, starting with personal curiosity that grew into a passion for helping others build strength, mobility, and mindful awareness. Certified through Swell Yoga Studio with training in alignment-based Vinyasa, breathwork, and meditation, she now teaches inclusive Hatha and Vinyasa classes for all levels, blending grounding presence with intuitive, compassionate guidance.
Born in the UK and raised in Australia, Tara has also lived in Canada and the United States, bringing a warm, global perspective to her teaching. Whether leading a dynamic flow, a gentle restorative class, or a private session, she creates an inviting space where students can explore, grow, and find balance on and off the mat.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Lisa moved to California to work as a software engineer. After a ten year career in Silicon Valley, Lisa chose the awesome coastal life of a stay-at-home mom to twins Ben and Sam. Having always loved group fitness, Lisa’s career followed a new path to personal training and group exercise for a decade. Not satisfied with post pandemic retirement and missing the studio energy, Lisa is back at FIT Studio and ready to help members at the front desk!
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys walking her dogs Wilma and Leilani, attempting to knit, and tootling around in the garden. Lisa also volunteers for Canine Companions for Independence.
